Marcelo J. Batista began in construction as a reinforcing ironworker for San Diego based Pacific Coast Steel in 1997. His commercial building projects included the erection and retro-fitting of: churches, banks, civil service facilities, multi-story office buildings, hospitals and parking structures.
After ironwork, Marcelo spent several years in the sales and consulting of construction materials for both residential and commercial applications as an outside representative for the Dixieline Lumber Company. Day to day operations centered on the planning and development of new construction and remodeling phases with both homeowners and building contractors based on the individual needs of each project. Responsibilities included the estimation of raw materials and writing of proposals associated with plan development, communication with dealers and vendors to ensure quality service and confirmation of orders, and all aspects of the final sale including pre-site measurements, order tracking and job site delivery.
Currently as president and owner, Marcelo not only oversees all aspects of everyday company business, but also supervises and manages workers to achieve project objectives through the scheduling of all job site activities, following all state and federal building guidelines and codes, directing subcontractors, managing budgets and maintaining safety standards. With years of construction field work, estimating and project management, Marcelo focuses on providing a fast-track team approach with single source responsibility towards the completion of each project. Marcelo feels that he and his company’s performance reflects the highest levels of client satisfaction.
